Epoch controls the oil bleed and the properties of the released oil, which means you can design lubricants for low temperatures with a significantly reduced risk of starvation (dry running). When an Epoch product was run in a test rig and the temperature fell below –20°C, all sorts of problems were experienced – the electronics didn’t work and  paint peeled off the machines. The lubrication, however, just got better and better.
